El cumpleaños de Elena: Elena´s birthday
Sara estaba muy preocupada, solo faltaban un par de días para el cumpleaños de Elena y aún no tenía el regalo perfecto para su mejor amiga, se le habían ocurrido muchas ideas: un estuche de colores, un cuaderno para colorear, una pelota roja y algunas cosas mas, pero ninguno le parecía un regalo especial y en su hucha con forma de gato rosa no había suficiente dinero para comprar los regalos que se le ocurrían.
Sara was very worried, Elena´s birthday was only a couple of days away and she still did not have the perfect present for her best friend, she had come up with many ideas: a colored pencil case, a coloring book, a red ball and a few things more, but none of them seemed like a special gift and in his piggy bank shaped like a pink cat there was not enough money to buy the gifts that occurred to her.
El cumpleaños de Elena: Elena´s birthday
Sara estaba tan preocupada que no comió mucho esa noche y se fue temprano a su cuarto para seguir pensando en el regalo de Elena. Su mamá preocupada fue a verla a su habitación y le preguntó que le pasaba, la niña le contó a su madre su gran problema, y le dijo que el mejor regalo, no era el más caro, sino el que se hiciera con el corazón, – “no lo entiendo” -dijo la niña, su madre acarició su pelo y dijo:
– “Lo que quiero decir mi ángel, es que deberías hacer tu misma el regalo y así será más especial.” –
La niña pensó en el regalo de su amiga hasta que se quedó dormida y cuando se despertó por la mañana, se le ocurrió el regalo perfecto. Era sábado y el cumpleaños de Elena no era hasta el domingo por la tarde así que tenía que darse prisa o ¡no estaría listo a tiempo!
Sara was so worried that she didn't eat much that night and went to her room early to keep thinking about Elena's present. Her worried mother went to see her in her room and asked her what was wrong, the girl told her mother about her big problem, and told her that the best gift was not the most expensive, but the one made with her heart, - "I don't understand" -said the girl, her mother stroked her hair and said:
"What I want to say, my angel, is that you should make the present yourself and that way it will be more special." –
The girl thought about her friend's present until she fell asleep and when she woke up in the morning, she came up with the perfect present from her. It was Saturday and Elena's birthday wasn't until Sunday afternoon so she had to hurry or she wouldn't be ready in time!
El cumpleaños de Elena: Elena´s birthday
Sara le explicó a su mamá la idea que había tenido y le pregunto si querría ayudarla. Su mamá aceptó encantada y le pidió que buscase unas cosas en su cuarto: unas hojas, ceras de colores, temperas y una camiseta blanca.
Sara explained the idea she had had to her mother and asked her if she would like to help her. Her mother was delighted to accept and asked him to find some things in her room: some papers, colored crayons, temperas and a white T-shirt.
Sara buscó todo lo que necesitaba y se puso a trabajar en el jardín con su mamá. Trabajaron durante todo el día y cuando esa noche se fue a la cama, Sara estaba muy contenta.

El cumpleaños de Elena: Elena´s birthday
La fiesta de Elena fue divertidísima; hubo globos, dulces, pastel e incluso un payaso. Cuando llegó la hora de abrir los regalos, Sara le pidió a su amiga que abriera primero el suyo y cuando lo hizo una gran sonrisa se dibujo en la cara de Elena, – “¡Es el mejor regalo del mundo!” -exclamó Elena. Sara le había regalado una camiseta y en ella había dibujadas dos niñas tomadas de las manos y debajo en letras mayúsculas se podía leer:
“AMIGAS PARA SIEMPRE“
Elena se puso la camiseta y jugaron juntas el resto de la tarde.

Elena's party was hilarious; there were balloons, sweets, cake and even a clown. When it was time to open the gifts, Sara asked her friend to open hers first and when she did, a big smile was drawn on Elena's face, - "It's the best gift in the world!" exclaimed Elena. Sara had given her a T-shirt and on it had drawn two girls holding hands and under it the capital letters could be read:
"FRIENDS FOREVER“
Elena put on her shirt and they played together the rest of the afternoon.
