ESTRATEGIA DE APRENDIZAJE: Demostrar comprensión de verbos modales en su aplicación a textos adaptados en guías de aprendizaje de manera autónoma. INSTRUCCIONES: Analizar el diagrama de CAN y CAN’T. Completar el primer ejercicio con can or can’t. Luego, en el ejercicio II, Escribir ability, possibility, prohibition, permission, request, offer debajo de cada oración. Hay un criterio que se puede usar dos veces. Analizar el diagrama SHOULD and SHOULDN’T. En el ejercicio 1, para cada problema tomar una solución del recuadro y escribir utilizando should o shouldn’t lo que corresponda. Seguir el ejemplo dado. Analizar el diagrama MUST. En el ejercicio I, escribir necessity, logical conclusion, rules or laws o prohibition debajo de cada oración. Se pueden usar más de una vez. En el segundo ejercicio, escribir una lista de 4 cosas que debes hacer y 4 cosas que no debes hacer durante la cuarentena. Al finalizar hacer la autoevaluación. When we use it for ability, we can also use it to say that we are not able to do something. GIVE ADVICE You shouldn’t be so judgemental SHOULD and SHOULDN’T As you can see in the diagram, is used for two purposes. One is giving advice, someone tells you something that is good for you, and you can do. Also, you can use for suggestions. For example, when someone doesn’t know what to order in a restaurant you say: ‘You should order pasta, they said it’s the best here!’ Additionally, you can suggest someone not to do something, for example ‘you shouldn’t order a diet coke’.
