1 Introducción 
El objeto del presente Anejo es el diseño del la Red de Drenaje, lo que incluye el dimensionamiento de 
las obras de drenaje y la justificación de los sistemas de evacuación de las aguas en las obras 
proyectadas. 
A continuación se describen las principales características de la red de drenaje proyectada. Se 
adjuntan los cálculos justificativos de dicha red de drenaje.

2 Hidrología 
La orografía de la zona da lugar a la proliferación de cuencas que encierran desniveles importantes y 
permiten adivinar los cursos de agua que en ellas originan las precipitaciones. Las cuencas de 
aportación así como la medición de sus superficies, se ha llevado a cabo sobre cartografía a escala E: 
1/5.000 de la Diputación Foral de Bizkaia. 
En el plano de cuencas que se recoge en este documento en el Apéndice nº 4.1, se aprecian las 
distintas zonas en que se divide el territorio atendiendo a las divisorias y vertientes que define la 
topografía del lugar. Sólo parte de éstas son interceptadas por el bidegorri, lo que exige determinar el 
área de aportación que ha sido afectada y la nueva trayectoria de las aguas que allí se generan. Las 
cuencas a estudiar son aquellas que se enumeran en el plano de cuencas, de este mismo apéndice, 
con su correspondiente área. 
2.1 Caudales 
Para la determinación de los caudales de cálculo es necesario establecer diferentes parámetros, como 
el coeficiente de escorrentía, tiempo de concentración, la intensidad de lluvia o los periodos de retorno 
a considerar. 
2.1.1 Determinación de los caudales esperados (Qe) 
Al tratarse de Cuencas de extensión menor a 1 Km2 , no existen en los Organismos de Cuenca 
correspondientes datos de estos caudales. Se procede por ello, y siguiendo las prescripciones de la 
Instrucción 5.2-IC y de las normas BAT, a la estimación de estos caudales mediante el método 
hidrometeorológico basado en la fórmula racional. 
La expresión de la fórmula racional a aplicar es la siguiente:

2.1.2 Cálculo de It. 
La aplicación de las normas BAT simplifica el cálculo de la intensidad de lluvia a considerar. Estas 
normas tienen ya en cuenta las características del territorio y las series de datos recogidos por los 
Servicios de meteorología de la zona, por lo que la intensidad de lluvia pasa a depender de dos únicos 
factores que son el Periodo de retorno (Tr) y el Tiempo de concentración (Tc). 
El tiempo de concentración se calcula mediante la fórmula:

Siendo: 
 Tc: Tiempo de concentración en horas. 
 L: Longitud de cuenca interceptada en Km. 
 J: Pendiente media de la cuenca en tanto por uno. 
Se considera que el tiempo de concentración mínimo es de 10 minutos, por lo que cuando el 
resultado de la fórmula es menor tomaremos Tc = 10 min. 
Con el valor de Tc entramos en la tabla, propuesta en las normas BAT, para hallar directamente el 
valor de la Intensidad Máxima para el periodo de retorno considerado. 
Los periodos de retorno recomendados en las normas BAT a efectos de nuestro proyecto son: 
 25 años sumideros, cunetas, colectores, caños y obras con sección de desagüe inferior a 0.75 m2 . 
 100 años para caños, alcantarillas, bajantes escalonadas, tajeas, pontones y obras con sección 
de desagüe entre 0.75 m 2 y 5 m2 . 
 250 años para pontones, puentes y obras con sección de desagüe entre 5 m2 y 50 m2. 
 500 años para puentes y obras con sección de desagüe superior a 50 m2.

Si se dispone de datos fiables se utilizarán estos. En caso contrario se acudirá a la tabla contenida, a 
tal efecto, en las normas BAT.

Para este Proyecto se coge el valor de 1,00 para superficies pavimentadas y 0,70 cuando el agua es 
recogida por el terreno. 
2.1.4 Determinación de los Caudales de Proyecto. 
Para la determinación de los caudales de proyecto multiplicaremos el caudal estimado, obtenido por 
el método racional, por un coeficiente de mayoración, kp, que no depende de parámetros 
hidrológicos, sino de los posibles daños que una avenida pueda ocasionar en el entorno. 
El parámetro kp se halla entrando en las tablas siguientes:

2.1.5 Características de las cuencas drenadas 
A continuación se describe las características de las cuencas interceptadas drenadas, con su superficie, 
longitud y desnivel. Con estas características y lo descrito en apartados anteriores se procede al 
cálculo de los caudales de proyecto con los que dimensionaremos las obras de drenaje transversal.

3 Drenaje 
Se trata en este apartado de proyectar adecuadamente los elementos de drenaje superficial a emplear en el 
Proyecto Constructivo de senda ciclable entre Santurtzi y el bidegorri de La Arena. Fase 1 El Villar (Santurtzi)-
Nocedal (Ortuella). 
Para ello se han dimensionado los diferentes elementos de drenaje, tanto cunetas como colectores y caños 
de tal forma que tengan capacidad hidráulica suficiente. 
El drenaje superficial comprende: 
 La recogida de aguas pluviales o de deshielo procedentes de la plataforma y sus márgenes, 
mediante caces, cunetas y sus imbornales y sumideros. 
 La evacuación de las aguas recogidas, mediante arquetas y colectores longitudinales, a cauces 
naturales bien, mediante obras de drenaje transversal o canalizaciones a cielo abierto o 
enterradas. 
 La restitución de la continuidad de los cauces naturales interceptados por la traza, mediante su 
acondicionamiento y construcción de obras de drenaje transversal. 
Los períodos de retorno para el cálculo de los caudales de cálculo de cada uno de los elementos de 
drenaje son los que siguen: 
 25 años sumideros, cunetas, colectores, caños y obras con sección de desagüe inferior a 0.75 m2 . 
 100 años para caños, alcantarillas, bajantes escalonadas, tajeas, pontones y obras con sección 
de desagüe entre 0.75 m 2 y 5 m2 . 
 250 años para pontones, puentes y obras con sección de desagüe entre 5 m2 y 50 m2. 
 500 años para puentes y obras con sección de desagüe superior a 50 m2. 
Hay que tener en cuenta que, en el cálculo de los caudales de diseño, se parte de los caudales para 
los diferentes períodos de retorno de cada una de las cuencas y subcuencas. 
A continuación, se describe el sistema general de drenaje del tramo estudiado, desarrollando las redes 
en que se subdivide y todos los elementos que constituyen la solución general. Se entiende como red el 
conjunto de elementos de drenaje que conducen aguas que comparten el mismo punto final de 
vertido, pudiendo ser el mismo un cauce natural o una obra de drenaje transversal. 
A continuación, se nombran y describen todas las redes y subredes que forman parte del drenaje 
longitudinal, así como los elementos de drenaje transversal. 
3.1 Aspectos generales 
El drenaje longitudinal consiste en la disposición de los elementos necesarios para: 
 Recoger el agua en la plataforma y taludes de desmonte y conducirla hasta el punto de drenaje. 
 Encauzar la escorrentía de las áreas adyacentes que inciden en el trazado. 
Para el cálculo de los caudales de diseño, se ha utilizado la metodología descrita en los apartados 
anteriores, en los que se estudian los aspectos hidrológicos. 
Todas las cuencas drenadas mediante los elementos de drenaje longitudinal, plataforma y taludes, se 
consideran cuencas de pequeña superficie. 
Existen ciertos condicionantes tenidos en cuenta en el diseño de la red de drenaje longitudinal del 
tramo estudiado: 
 Dimensiones establecidas en el estudio de las secciones tipo (Ver Planos. Secciones Tipo), que 
limitan las dimensiones de las bermas, cunetas de plataforma, y cunetas en terraplén. 
El drenaje longitudinal se resuelve mediante los siguientes elementos: 
 Cunetas de plataforma, en secciones en terraplén. 
 Cunetas de pie de terraplén. 
 Cunetas de guarda en la cabeza de los taludes de desmonte. 
 Caños y boquillas. 
3.2 Diseño general de la red de drenaje longitudinal 
A continuación, se describen las diferentes casuísticas que se dan respecto al drenaje longitudinal en 
función de la tipología de sección que se de en cada caso: 
 Secciones en desmonte 
En las secciones en desmonte se dispondrán cunetas de guarda a lo largo de la cabecera del 
talud, evacuando el agua a la bajante prevista, limitando las cunetas, según el caso, de pie de 
desmonte solo para el caudal del talud y de la plataforma. 
Estas cunetas se han dimensionado teniendo en cuenta una limitación de velocidad de 6,00 m/s, 
comprobando que fueran capaces de desaguar el caudal. 
Las cunetas de desmonte serán la CD-0,50 y CD-1,00, estas cunetas son simétricas y revestidas. 
 Secciones en terraplén 
El agua procedente de la cuneta de coronación de desmonte se encauza mediante una cuneta 
revestidas a pie de terraplén, de 1,00 metros de anchura. 
 Secciones en plataforma 
Se prevé la colocación de una cuneta de 0,5 m de ancho y talud 1V:3H. Algún tramo de la 
plataforma requiere una cuneta de 1 m de ancho.

Todas las cunetas del proyecto se ejecutaran “ in situ “ tal y como se especifica en los planos de 
detalla. 
3.2.1 Criterios de dimensionamiento 
Como ya se ha comentado, el drenaje longitudinal se resuelve mediante cunetas y colectores 
dispuestos en diferentes posiciones de la sección, según el caso el trazado en planta y alzado del 
tramo. 
Para el diseño de las cunetas de guarda y de pie de terraplén se ha considerado secciones trapeciales. 
Las cunetas serán de hormigón y ejecutadas in situ. 
Se ha limitado la velocidad a 6,0 m/s y se ha determinado la cuneta necesaria para que por 
capacidad no fuera necesario colocar un tubo colector. 
Los tramos de cunetas que lo requieran llevarán un colector al que desaguarán mediante arquetas 
cada 60 metros aproximadamente para facilitar su mantenimiento. 
3.2.1.1 CÁLCULO DE LAS CUNETAS Y COLECTORES: 
El diámetro mínimo del colector establecido es de 400 mm por criterios de mantenimiento, aunque 
este proyecto no contempla la colocación de colectores. 
Los tubos se han calculado de tal modo que el agua circule por su interior en lámina libre y a una 
velocidad máxima de 6,0 m/s. 
3.2.2 Resultados 
Los cálculos de las redes de drenaje se reflejan en las tablas incluidas en el Apéndice nº 5.2: Cálculos 
realizados para el Dimensionamiento de Cunetas y Colectores. Para cada una de las redes dispuestas 
en la traza, se incluye por un lado una tabla con el dimensionamiento de cunetas y cunetones, y una 
segunda tabla con el dimensionamiento de caños, colectores y cajones. La primera tabla, contiene los 
siguientes datos: 
 Columna 1: identifica el nombre del elemento a calcular. 
 Columna 2: indica el punto kilométrico de su proyección al eje de la carretera o ramal del enlace 
o intersección. 
 Columna 3: describe el origen o final del elemento, si es arqueta, sumidero, desagüe, etc. 
 Columna 4: indica el tipo de conducto. Columna 5: hace referencia a las dimensiones más importantes de la sección. 
 Columna 6: indica la longitud del conducto. 
 Columna 7: es la pendiente del conducto. 
 Columna 8: indica el tiempo de concentración. 
 Columnas 9 y 10: indica la superficie de cuenca de aportación propia, para superficie 
pavimentada y de terreno separadamente. 
 Columnas 11 y 12: caudales unitarios para las superficies de aportación. 
 Columna 13: caudal de cálculo para cada tramo. 
 Columna 14: pendiente crítica (sólo para tramos de colector). 
 Columna 15: coeficiente de rugosidad. 
 Columna 16: máxima capacidad del conducto. 
 Columnas 17, 18, 19 y 20: datos de calado, área, radio hidráulico y velocidad. 
Para la tabla de dimensionamiento de colectores, caños y cajones, cada columna tiene el siguiente 
significado: 
 Columna 1: identifica el nombre del elemento a calcular. 
 Columna 2: indica el punto kilométrico de su proyección al eje de la carretera o ramal del enlace 
o intersección. 
 Columna 3: describe el origen o final del elemento, si es arqueta, sumidero, desagüe, etc. 
 Columna 4: indica la cota del terreno proyectado. 
 Columna 5: indica el tipo de conducto. 
 Columna 6: hace referencia a las dimensiones más importantes de la sección. 
 Columna 7: indica la longitud del conducto. 
 Columna 8: es la pendiente del conducto. 
 Columnas 9 y 10: indican las cotas de entrada y de salida del conducto. 
 Columna 11: indica el tiempo de concentración. 
 Columnas 12 y 13: indica la superficie de la cuenca de aportación acumulada, para superficie 
pavimentada y de terreno separadamente. 
 Columnas 14 y 15: caudales unitarios para las superficies de aportación. 
 Columna 16: caudal de cálculo para cada tramo. 
 Columna 17: pendiente crítica. 
 Columna 18: coeficiente de rugosidad. 
 Columna 19: máxima capacidad del conducto. 
 Columnas 20 y 21: datos de calado y velocidad para el caudal de cálculo. 
 Columna 22: pérdidas de carga por fricción. 
 Columna 23: pérdidas de carga puntuales. 
 Columna 24: Cota del agua o lámina de entrada. En el caso de control a la entrada será igual a 
la suma de la columna 9 y la altura del agua dada por la curva característica. Si el control es a la 
salida, la cota de agua será la cota de salida más el calado obtenido del cálculo más las pérdidas 
de carga de las columnas 22 y 23. 
 Columna 25: Cota límite, que en caso de colectores será la altura de la arqueta de entrada menos 
un resguardo y en el caso de cunetas será la cota de entrada del conducto más la altura útil de 
ésta.

Se debe cumplir siempre que el valor de la columna 25 sea mayor que el de la columna 24 ( lámina 
entrada < cota admisible límite); en caso contrario, se modificará el dato o los datos que sea posible y 
conveniente y se repetirá el cálculo. 
3.2.3 Comentarios a los resultados obtenidos 
De los cálculos hidráulicos obtenidos y que se incluyen como Apéndice 5.2, se deduce que tanto 
colectores como colectores cumplen las condiciones hidráulicas en cuanto a velocidad y calado. En 
algunos casos, se han obtenido resultados que superan ligeramente el resguardo, pero estos 
resultados han sido dados por buenos, al ser casos muy puntuales y dado el carácter claramente 
conservador que implica el empleo de las normas BAT para el diseña del drenaje.
