Possessive Pronouns Examples: 1. The keys are mine. Las llaves son mías. 2. The car is yours. El auto es vuestro. 3. That pencil is his. Aquél lápiz es suyo (de él). 4. This pen is hers. Éste bolígrafo es suyo (de ella) 5. Its color is brown. Su color es marrón. 6. The cats are theirs. Los gatos son suyos (de ellos) Possessive Adjectives Shows who owns something. We always use a noun after the possessive adjective Possessive adjectives don’t have plural. Example: My book. My books. Reflexive Pronouns myself yourself himself herself itself ourselves yourselves themselves They refer to the person or animal that is the subject of the verb. Examples: I made this cake myself. Be careful with the knife. You’ll cut yourself. Michael is looking at himself in the mirror. Susan has hurt herself. Our cat washes itself after each meal. We organized the party all by ourselves. Come in, children, and find yourselves a seat. Baby birds are too young to look after themselves. Reflexive Pronouns Demonstrative Adjectives These adjectives indicate the noun that is being referred to.
