The name of the project is "Evaluación del Efecto Normoglucemiante de Plantas Medicinales y Estandarización de Extracción Química del Género Randia".
The objectives of the program are to contribute to scientific research in the field of traditional medicine and the chemistry of medicinal plants, as well as their therapeutic applications; to develop skills in experimental design, standardization, and analysis of data from the extraction of compounds from plants of the genus Randia; to acquire practical experience in scientific research; to contribute to the community through research in natural medicine; and to have the opportunity to present results at scientific conferences.
The activities to be developed include training on the use of bibliographic search platforms and bibliographic management tools; literature review for the writing of a scientific dissemination article; experimental design and elaboration of the protocol of the reception experience in thesis modality; taxonomic classification of the plant Randia monantha; standardization of the chemical extraction of the components of Randia monantha; extraction of chemical extracts from plants of the genus Randia using different solvents and methods, and standardization of the process to ensure the reproducibility of the results; analysis of the extracts by chemical tests; data collection and analysis; statistical analysis of the collected data to evaluate the effect of medicinal plant extracts; preparation and presentation of a scientific poster summarizing the most outstanding results of the research; and participation in scientific dissemination forums.
