What is the history of topology?
A. In 1679, G. Leibniz published his famous book Characteristica Geometrica, in which he attempted to study more the topological properties than the purely metric ones of the figures.
B. In 1736, Euler published an article with the solution to the famous Königsberg bridges problem, entitled “Solutio problematis ad geometriam situs pertinentis”.
C. In 1750, Euler wrote a letter to C. Goldbach in which he gave the famous Euler's formula for a polyhedron: y - I + c = 2.
D. In 1813, Lhuilier published an important work, where he indicates that Euler's formula is false for solids with handles on them.
E. In 1865, Möbius published a description of the band that bears his name.
F. In 1895, Poincaré introduced the concept of homology and gave a precise definition of the numbers.
