The historical evolution of Geography is divided into two major periods:


A. Period Before Christ and Period After Christ
B. Ancient Period and Post-Ancient Period
C. Archaic Period and Classical Period
D. Premodern period that would begin in Greece, and a modern period from the 19th century onwards where its university institutionalization occurs.
