In this system of 3 central defenders, the weakest defensive point is the back of the wingbacks, because if they are advanced and cannot recover the zone, they leave a large space behind them through which opponents usually fall to progress or unbalance the marking of the central defenders and cause spaces in other areas of the defense with evident deficit of time and space in the basculations.
3. Defensively, this system requires generating a high degree of symbiosis between the midfield and defense lines, both in coordination and equidistance and constant aid performances, which throughout the season represents an important expenditure of mental and physical energy.
