Risk ranking score: The risk ranking score is used to determine if further risk control and treatment measures need to be implemented. Where a risk has a score of less than 7, the risk may be considered acceptable and therefore no action is required. However, if the risk score is greater than 7 but less than 12, existing risk management policies and procedures may be used to treat the risk. Alternatively, if the risk score is 12 or greater than 12, the risk may need to be treated by the risk management committee or by senior management.
