Workshop 4 WRITING AN ESSAY

WORKSHOP 4: WHAT ARE YOU DOING THIS AFTERNOON?

A festival in my city. 
It is one of the biggest parties in Mexico, where everything turns with colors like orange, 
purple, black among others, and we can see children and adults dressed up, participating 
in activities made by the festival. There are offering corridors, dances, catrina contests, 
concerts, museum nights, among others. All this is done in the capital of Puebla, and 
there is a lot of citizen participation. It is a festival that lasts about a week, where there 
are different activities. 
My name is Manuel Alejandro Hernandez and the festival in my city is Recently created, 
this festival celebrates the popular and traditional values around one of the oldest 
celebrations in our country: the Day of the Dead. Its diversified program includes 
proposals, plastic exhibitions, theater, cinema, music, conferences. using scenarios of 
presence rooted in the capital of Puebla. as well as a commemorative parade to the 
dates, where students from different schools participate, and also people. all this is done 
in the capital of Puebla. 
There will be tours of the French Pantheon on Friday, November 28, from 6:30 p.m. to 
8:00 p.m., as well as in alleys of the Historic Center. The Metropolitan Offering Corridor 
will be available from October 23 to November 6, 2022. After Life is another festival that 
will take place in Puebla, in charge of the BUAP, from October 26 to 30. The route of the 
Catrina Parade, organized by the state's Department of Culture and Tourism as part of 
the Entre Vivos y Muertos Festival, will take place on Tuesday, November 1, starting at 
4:00 p.m. in the city of Puebla. 
I remember that at the 2019 festival, since in other years there was no parade of skulls 
due to a pandemic, there were those who wore very beautiful makeup, and their outfit 
was very consistent with the makeup style. for me I like photography, it was something 
very good, since I was able to take many photos, to upload them to my page where I 
upload many photos of all kinds. and those photos are the ones that people liked the 
most, and even me, since the catrinas were very well dressed. 
As a finale, this festival, although it lasts for many days, can be enjoyed both alone and 
with the family. It is actually very cheap, since as such there is no charge, for access to 
any of the events, and if you spend it, it is only in some food craving, since if in most 
places, you will find food stalls, all types. This festival is one of my favorites of the year, 
since I like the offerings a lot, as well as the parade of catrinas.
