Objetivo: 
- En esta guía aprenderás a usar adverbios para describir acciones. 
- Usar adverbios modificadores para otros adverbios o adjetivos. 
 
1. Adverbs (Manner and modifiers) (Adverbios; de maneras y modificadores) 
 
 Para decir cómo la gente hace distintas acciones usamos los adverbios. 
 Usualmente van después del verbo. 
 They speak slowly. (Ellos hablan lentamente.) 
 She drives aggressively. (Ella maneja agresivamente.) 
 We speak English very well. (Nosotros hablamos Inglés muy bien.)

Irregular 
 
 Recuerda que hay una diferencia entre adjetivos y adverbios: 
 I’m a slow runner. (=Soy un corredor lento.) (Slow es un adjetivo, describe al 
sustantivo; corredor.) 
 I run slowly. (=Corro lento/lentamente.) (Slowly es un adverbio, describe al verbo; 
correr. Recuerda que usualmente va después del verbo) 
 
2. Modifying adverbs. (Adverbios modificadores) 
 Los usamos para modificar o calificar adjetivos o adverbios. Siempre van antes del 
adjetivo o adverbio. 
 It’s a really expensive car. (=Es realmente un auto caro.) 
 We did a very good job. (=Hicimos un muy buen trabajo.) 
 They drive incredibly slowly. (=Ellos manejan increíblemente lento.) 
 
 No todas las palabras que terminan en ly son adverbios. Por ejemplo friendly = Adjective 
(Amigable) o lovely = Adjective (Encantador/a)
