Relaxina
Este péptido puede actuar sobre la musculatura lisa y
sobre el tejido conectivo del útero, de forma análoga a las
PG. La relaxina decidual contribuye a mantener la quies-
cencia uterina y el ablandamiento cervical en los últimos
estadios del embarazo. De acuerdo con su perfil de con-
centración en relación con período gestacional no se pro-
duce ningún aumento en su concentración en el tiempo
correspondiente al inicio del parto (véase Fig. 81.5).
