ESTRATEGIA DE APRENDIZAJE: 
Escribir y leer oraciones expresando sus preferencias y las de las otras personas a través 
de narrativas personales en guías de aprendizaje de manera comprensiva y dispuesta. 
 
INSTRUCCIONES: 
Item I: Ejercicio 1: leer las oraciones de la A a la H y categorizar las expresiones en negrita 
en positivas y negativas según lo que lean. 
Ejercicio 2: leer los perfiles de Johanna y Drew, luego completar los espacios con 
expresiones de preferencia (según contexto). Las expresiones enceradas en rojo son 
pistas, leer la hoja siguiente y definir la palabra ridiculous. 
Ejercicio 3: Responder las preguntas con tu propia información. 
Item 2: Ejercicio 1: Leer las oraciones y completar con his, her, your, my, its, their y our 
según cada caso. Seguir el ejemplo. 
Ejercicio 2: Según el árbol genealógico que se presenta en el recuadro de la línea 
punteada, leer las oraciones y completar con his/her/their.

1. Read the sentences A-H. Complete the chart with ‘ ’ or ‘ ’ 
words or expressions. Follow the example. 
2. Read the profiles and use any preference word (like, love, 
hate, adore, can’t stand, can’t bear, enjoy, dislike or don’t like) 
that is suitable. 
 
 
 Prefer 
When we express preferences, we can use: 
 Like, dislike or don’t like (the last two are similar) 
 Be keen on 
 Love or adore (they are similar) 
 Hate 
 Enjoy 
 Can’t bear or can’t stand (they are similar)

*Important!! 
 Expressions like: ‘It’s too slow’ and ‘they are ridiculous!’ are giving 
you the clue. TOO means demasiado and it carries a negative meaning. 
Now, find the definition of RIDICULOUS in the dictionary… 
 
 
 
 
3. Write your preferences next to each sentence.

II. Possessive Adjectives 
The possessive adjectives are my, your, his, her, its, our, their, 
and whose. A possessive adjective is placed before a noun (or a pronoun) to
