Escribir y completar identificando vocabulario y lenguaje sobre el tema, el lugar 
donde vivo, a través del desarrollo de los ejercicios de la guía de aprendizaje

ACTIVIDAD 1.- Observa las imágenes, escribe las frases completando con: el 
nombre de las habitaciones, de los objetos y la estructura there is / there are, 
Guíate por el ejemplo. 
ACTIVIDAD 2.- Lee el texto sobre las habitaciones de los niños. Escribe el 
nombre del objeto y a quien pertenece. 
ACTIVIDAD 3.- Observa la imagen sobre un living o sala de estar: 
 a) Completa las preguntas y responde con: Yes, there is / No, there isn’t / 
Yes, there are / No, there aren’t 
b) En relación a la imagen, escribe dos preguntas y respóndelas de acuerdo al 
ejemplo. 
Responde una autoevaluación marcando con una equis en el nivel que 
consideres tu grado de logro.

 Frases afirmativas 
 
THERE IS = THERE’S Significa hay cuando se habla de una cosa ( singular ) 
 
• There is a sofa = There’s a sofa ( hay un sofá) 
• There is a lamp ( hay una lámpara) 
• There is a bedside table ( hay un velador) 
• There is one world map ( hay un mapamundi) 
• There is a rug in the living room (hay una alfombra en el living o sala de 
estar) 
 
THERE ARE = THERE’RE significa hay cuando es más de una cosa ( plural) 
• There are six beds (Hay 6 camas 
• There are ten chairs (Hay 10 sillas) 
• There are seven pillows ( Hay 7 cojines) 
• There are five bedrooms. ( Hay 5 dormitorios) 
• There are four posters (Hay 4 afiches) 
 
Frases negativas 
Se fusiona el verbo to be con la negación siendo sustituída la “o” por un apóstrofe 
(‘) 
 
There is not a lamp in the garden = There isn’t a lamp in the garden 
( No hay una lámpara en el jardín ) 
There are not lamps in the garden = There aren’t lamps in the garden. No hay 
lámparas en el jardín
