FINITE AND NON FINITE VERB GROUPS
INTRODUCCION
Como vimos en clases anteriores los verbos pueden tener varias formas. Estas formas pueden ser utizidas por si solas o combinadas con vrbos especiales llamados auxiliares. Cuando un verbo o la combinacion de un verbo y un auxiliar (o mas auxiliares)se utiliza en una clausula recibe el nombre de grupo o frase verbal. 
En una oracion hay al menos un verbo que tiene tanto un sujeto y un timepo. En estos casos se los denomina verbosd finitos.
We want Charlie to act as club secretary.
I like taking photographs of insects.
Coming home last night, I saw a deer run across the road.
Algunas forms de un verb se denominan no finitas. Las mas comunes de estas son:
el  infinitivo con y sin to. (Ej.: to go, go/ to talk, talk), 
los participios presente o formas -ing (Ej.: going / talking) 
Los participios pasados o formas -ed  (e.g.gone / talked) 
Todos los verbos pueden ser utilizados en ambas foerams tanto como verbos finitos, o como verbos no finitos
FORMAS FINITAS Y NO FINITAS
Si un grupo verbal es personal entonces tiene tiempo. Las formas finitas del verbo indican tiempo, persona and número (I go, she goes, we went, etc.). Por ejemplo:
She was waiting in the room before he came in.
Does your brother know my brother?
The night before he had to leave, they sat on the small sofa in the living-room and looked at old family photos.
Aren’t you a bit late?
En cambio las formas no-finitas de los verbos no indican tiempo, persona o número. Por ejemplo: 
She tiptoed round the house so as not to wake anyone.
You need to paint the whole cupboard, starting from the bottom.

USOS
Con frecuencia se utiliza un verbo no finito inmediatamente después de un verbo finito. I like to get up early at the weekend.
Harriet really dislikes (VF) cleaning (VNF) the cooker.
I certainly wouldn’t want (VF) to see (VNF) him again.
We persuaded (VF) them to join (VNF) us.
A veces podemos encontarn un sustantivo o un pronombre entre el verbo finitoy el no finito. 
Por ejemplo: 
We want Charlie to act as club secretary.
She wanted him to wash his hands in the bathroom.
I don’t like you cleaning your boots over the sink.
