BOOK III PERSONAL PRONOUNS: They’re used in the place of the main subject. 1ª singular I (yo) 2ª singular You (tú o usted) 3ª singular masculino He (él) 3ª singular femenino She (ella) 3ª singular neutro It (ello, ella “no personal”) 1ª plural We (nosotros, nosotras) 2ª plural You (ustedes) 3ª plural They (ellos, ellas) POSSESSIVE ADJECTIVES: They express ownership and are always followed by a noun. They have to agree with the owner in gender and number. 1ª singular My (mi) 2ª singular Your (tú, su “de usted”) 3ª singular masculino His (su “de él”) 3ª singular femenino Her (su “de ella”) 3ª singular neutro Its (su “de ello no personal”) 1ª plural Our (nuestro, nuestra, nuestros, nuestras) 2ª plural Your (su, sus “de ustedes”) 3ª plural Their (su, sus “de ellos, de ellas”) COMPLEMENT or OBJECT PRONOUNS: They take the place of people, animals or things in the complement of the sentence. 1ª singular Me (me, a mí) 2ª singular You (te, a ti, “a usted”) 3ª singular masculino Him (le, lo, a él) 3ª singular femenino Her (la, le, a ella) 3ª singular neutro It (le, lo, la, le: “a él, a ella no personal”) 1ª plural Us (nos, a nosotros, a nosotras) 2ª plural You (los, les, las: “a ustedes”) 3ª plural Them (les, los, las, a ellos, a ellas) POSSESSIVE PRONOUNS: They take the place of the noun and express ownership.
