LA INVESTIGACIÓN INTERDISCIPLINARIA: UN EJEMPLO EN EL GRUPO DE

RESUMEN. En la ponencia se analizan los conceptos de interdisciplinariedad y 
transdisciplinariedad mediante el enfoque de la complejidad, las formas utilizadas en algunas 
universidades importantes para llevar a cabo la investigación interdisciplinaria y se argumenta el 
fundamento del grupo de investigación de Bioingeniería y biomecánica que se basa en un modelo 
universitario que tiene en cuenta la pertinencia y la responsabilidad social. Se reflexiona sobre el 
surgimiento del colectivo de investigación basado en los problemas de salud en la sociedad 
cubana que conlleva interdisciplinariedad de los saberes, el trabajo conjunto de profesionales de 
diferentes especialidades y la intervención de la sociedad. Se muestran los principales resultados 
alcanzados en el grupo y la proyección futura.

THE INTERDISCIPLINARY RESEARCH: AN EXAMPLE IN THE GROUP OF 
BIOENGINEERING AND BIOMECHANICS 
 
ABSTRACT. At this work, the concepts of interdisciplinary and transdisciplinarity were 
analyzed having in account the sciences of complexity, the models used in some important 
universities to carry the interdisciplinary research out and the theorical foundations of the group 
of Bioengineering and biomechanics that is based on an university model that takes into account 
the pertinence and the social responsibility.. The study shows the origin of the research group is 
based on the Cuban health problems and the united work of professionals of different specialties 
with the society intervention. The researchshows the main attained results in the group and the 
future projection

Es Profesor Titular y Consultante de la Universidad de Camagüey “Ignacio Agramonte Loynaz” 
Máster en Educación Superior y Doctora en Ciencias Pedagógicas .Actualmente desarrolla su 
trabajo como investigadora en el Grupo de bioingeniería y biomecánica, colabora con varios 
centros de estudio de la universidad y es miembro de la Cátedra de complejidad. Miembro del 
comité académico de la Maestría de ingeniería mecánica y profesora de la misma y de otras 
figuras del postgrado. Es profesora visitante de varias universidades en México y Colombia como 
asesora, profesora e investigadora. Posee más de 60 publicaciones científicas y docentes. Sus 
líneas de investigación actual son: enseñanza dela ingeniería; interdisciplinariedad y 
transdisciplinariedad, simulación computacional en biomecánica utilizando el método de los 
elementos finitos.
