What are the requirements for safety belts, body harnesses, chest harnesses, positioning belts, and suspension belts?

The belts or bands for safety belts and harnesses must have a minimum nominal width of 4.4 cm, with a negative tolerance of 0.3 cm.
The safety belts and harnesses must be made of a material that allows the finished product to withstand, without damage, the impact test described for each Type in NCh1258/2.
The body harnesses must have a minimum number of straps or bands around the user's body, arranged in a similar way to those shown in figures 1 to 4, in order that during a possible fall, they distribute the stopping forces in resistant parts of the body and prevent the user's body from slipping out of the harness, regardless of the way the person falls.
The metal parts must have a corrosion-resistant finish and withstand the salt spray test described in NCh904 for a minimum of 50 hours without experiencing loss of strength or function.
The D-rings and O-rings that are subject to impact load during use must withstand a load of 2,268 kg when subjected to the traction test described in UNE 7-474 (Part 1), and at the end of the test, the rings must not show any fractures or cracks.
The buckles for safety belts and harnesses that are subject to impact load during use must withstand a minimum of 1,814 kg when subjected to the traction test described in UNE 7-474 (Part 1), and at the end of the test, the frames of the buckles must not show any fractures or cracks.
The different metal parts that are subject to impact load during use must be compatible with the resistance factor of the safety belt or harness.
The strops must have a maximum length of 1.8 m.
