What is corology and what are the areas of distribution of living beings?
Corology is the science that studies the areas of distribution of living beings. The areas of distribution of species are the set of locations where a given living being occurs. Endemic species are those that occur within the limits of a certain territory, more or less large. The areas of distribution of species are unalterable. The areas of distribution of species can vary over time due to climate and/or geological changes. Flora arvense is a group of plants of agricultural interest that occupy most of the space and are moved to any place. Autóctonas are plants that have to give way to crops, roads, urbanizations, etc. Territorios florísticos are demarcations of flora with little or very uniform distribution, with a certain coincidence in terms of the limits of the areas of distribution. The hierarchy of floristic territories goes from the largest to the smallest: Kingdom, Region, Superprovince, Province, Subprovince, Sector, and Subsector. The six floristic kingdoms are: Holartic, Paleotropical, Neotropical, Capense, Australian, and Antarctic.
