Código de los Caballeros Templarios de Michoacán

	Este código es obligatorio para todos los miembros que forman parte de la orden de los Caballeros Templarios de Michoacán.
	This code is obligatory for all members that form part of the Order of the Knights Templar of Michoacán.

	Los Caballeros Templarios de Michoacán nacen el 8 de Marzo del 2011, su misión principal, es la de proteger a los habitantes y al territorio sagrado del Estado libre, soberano y laico de Michoacán
	The Knights Templar of Michoacán was founded on the 8th March 2011, with the principal mission of protecting the inhabitants and the sacred territory of the free, sovereign, and secular state of Michoacán.

	Para ingresar a esta Orden, es necesario la aprobación del Consejo compuesto por los hermanos de mayor experiencia y criterio.
	To enter this Order, it is necessary to gain approval of the Council comprised of brothers of greater experience and sense.

	Todo elemento que es aceptado para formar parte del grupo de los Caballeros Templarios de Michoacán, lo hace para toda la vida, no podrá abandonar la causa.
	Every individual that is accepted to form part of the group of the Knights Templar of Michoacán, does so for life, he will not be able to abandon the cause.

	Todos los miembros de la Orden de los Caballeros Templarios de Michoacán, deberán estar bajo juramento, el cual se realizará bajo un ritual establecido por el Consejo, dicho juramento se deberá respetar a costa de la propia vida.
	All members of the Order of the Knights Templar of Michoacán must be under oath, which will be taken in a ritual established by the Council; the aforesaid oath [see Appendix 2] shall be respected at the cost of their life.

	Todo Caballero esta obligado a comportarse con Honor, dignida, absoluta disciplina, lealtad y honestidad, como mandan los canones sagrados de la Orden.
	Each Knight is obliged to comport himself with honour, dignity, absolute discipline, loyalty, and honesty, as the sacred canons of the Order command.

	Todos los Caballeros deben respetar el VOTO DE SILENCIO, queda absolutamente prohibido divulgar nuestras actividades y secretos.
	All Knights must respect the VOW OF SILENCE; it is absolutely prohibited to divulge our activities and secrets.

	Los Caballeros Templarios[footnoteRef:1] deben amar y servir desinteresadamente a toda la humanidad. [1: “Teplarios” here is clearly a typographical error.] 
	The Knights Templar must love and selflessly serve all of humanity.

	Un Caballero Templario entiende que hay un Dios, una vida creada por El, una verdad eterna y un propósito divino servir a Dios y al prójimo.
	A Knight Templar understands that there is a God, a life created by Him, an eternal truth and a divine purpose to serve God and neighbour.

	Los miembros de la orden deben luchar contra el materialismo, la injusticia y la tirania en el mundo, empezando por su casa, colonia, ciudad, Estado y Pais
	The members of the Order must fight against the materialism, injustice, and tyranny in the world, starting in their house, neighbourhood, city, State, and Country.

	Es deber de los Caballeros prepararse y equiparse a si mismos para la batalla y conseguir los objetivos de la orden.
	It is the duty of the Knights to prepare and equip themselves for battle and to achieve the objectives of the Order.

	Los Caballeros Templarios entablaremos una batalla ideológica que nos reta para la defensa de los valores que sostiene una sociedad basada en la ética y construida a través de siglos.
	The Knights Templar will initiate an ideological battle which challenges us to the defence of the values that sustain a society based on ethics and constructed over the centuries.

	La Orden luchará contra el desmoronamiento de los valores morales y los elementos destructivos que prevalecen hoy en la sociedad humana.
	The Order will fight against the collapse of moral values and the destructive elements that prevail today in human society.
	14
	La Orden debe sostener la justicia natural y los derechos fundamentales del hombre reconociendo el derecho de los pueblos y las naciones a governarse a si mismos dentro de su medio económico natural.
	The Order must sustain natural justice and the fundamental rights of man, recognising the right of peoples and nations to govern themselves within their natural economic environment.

	La Orden apoya la libertad de expresión, de conciencia y de religión; defensa colectiva y medidas positivas para erradicar la pobreza y la injusticia que amenazan la sociedad mundial.
	The Order supports freedom of expression, conscience and religion; collective defence and positive measures to eradicate the poverty and injustice that threaten global society.

	Los templarios no deben tener un actitud ofensiva contra ningún hombre por la forma en que se dirige a Dios, aunque esta sea diferente o extraña. Antes al contrario el templario deberá intentar entender como otros se acercan a Dios
	The Templars must not have an offensive attitude against any man for the form in which he addresses God, even if it might be different or strange. On the contrary, the Templar must try to understand how others get close to God.

	Un soldado del templo no puede estar esclavidazo por creencias sectarias u opiniones estrechas. Dios es la verdad y sin Dios no hay verdad. El templario debe siempre buscar la verdad porque en la verdad está Dios.
	A soldier of the Temple may not be enslaved by sectarian beliefs, or by narrow-minded opinions. God is truth, and without God there is no truth. The Templar must always search for the truth, because in truth there is God.

	La Orden fomenta el patriotismo, expresado en el orgullo hacia la propia tierra y sus logros y el reconocimiento del lugar que le corresponde entre las naciones y sus deberes para con la humanidad.
	The Order promotes patriotism, expressed in pride towards one’s own land and its achievements, and the recognition of the place which it merits among the nations, as well as its [the Order’s] obligations to humanity.

	Los caballeros de la orden deben conducirse con humildad y ser los más honorables, los más nobles, los más corteses, los más honestos y los más caballerosos, como digno Caballero del Temple
	The knights of the order must conduct themselves with humility, and be the most honourable, the most noble, the most courteous, the most honest, and the most chivalrous, like/as a worthy Knight of the Temple.

	El templario debe servir a la Orden y no esperar ser servido por ella. Que lo que colabore lo haga en servicio de Dios y no debe esperar recompensa salvo el saber que con ello honra a la Orden por su devoción
	The Templar must serve the Order, not hope to be served by it. That which he might contributes, he does in service of God, and must not expect any reward save the knowledge that by it he honors the Order with his devotion. 
	21
	Ningún Templario deberá ofender de forma alguna a una persona u otro ser. Para todos, el Templario debe ser un ejemplo de caballerosidad.
	No Templar will offend any person or other being in any way. The Templar should be an example of chivalry for everyone. 
	22
	Ninguna mujer deberá temer nada de un Templario, ni de sus palabras, ni de sus acciones. Ningún niño deberá padecer tampoco ese temor. Ningún hombre, deberá temer a un Templario, sino por el contrario deben sentir su protección.
	No woman will fear anything of a Templar, neither in his words or nor in his actions. Neither should any child suffer that fear. No man should fear a Templar, but on the contrary they should feel his protection. 
	23
	Jamás un templario debe deshonrar a otro porque dicha conducta le deshonrará a él y llevará descrédito a la Orden.
	A Templar should never dishonour another, because such conduct will dishonour him, and bring discredit to the Order. 
	24
	En su conducta el templario, evitará lo siguiente: Ser brutal, emborracharse en forma ofensiva, ser inmoral, cobarde, mentir otener intenciones maliciosas.
	In his conduct, the Templar will avoid the following: being brutal, getting offensively drunk, being immoral, cowardly, lying, or having malicious intent.

	Un Caballero no debe buscar posiciones de engrandecimiento dentro de la Orden. Se contentará con aquellos puestos que le sean encomendados para mejor servirla.
	A Knight must not seek positions of aggrandizement within the Order. He will content himself with those positions that are entrusted him, in order to best serve it [the Order].

	Un Templario no debe juzgar a nadie dentro o fuera de la Orden por sus posesiones o su posición social. Antes al contrario debe juzgar por el carácter y la bondad o falta de ellos.
	A Templar must not judge anyone within or outside of the Order for his possessions or social position. On the contrary, he should judge someone for their character and the goodness or lack of it.
	27
	Los miembros[footnoteRef:2] de la orden deben expresar verdadero sometimiento a los principios del Temple y obediencia a sus oficiales en todas las cosas de la Orden [2: “mienbros” here is clearly a typographical error.] 
	Members of the Order must express true submission to the principles of the Temple and obedience to its officials in every aspect of the Order.

	Para los Caballeros Templarios de Michoacán, la disciplina es constante y la obediencia es siempre respetada: se va y se viene a la señal de quien posee autoridad.
	For the Knights Templar of Michoacán, discipline is constant, and obedience is always respected: one comes and one goes at the signal of whoever possesses authority.

	Todo miembro de la Orden debe mantenerse firme y veraz en las justas causas de Dios.
	Every member of the Order must maintain himself firm and truthful in the just causes of God.

	Todos los Caballeros de la Orden de los Caballeros Templarios, están obligados a llevar una vida en común sobria y alegre, manteniendo un perfil bajo para no hacerse notar.
	All the Knights of the Order of the Knights Templar are obliged to lead a vida en común, sober and happy, maintaining a low profile so as to not attract attention. 
	31
	Todos los Caballeros están obligados a tratar con respeto a sus compañeros y mandos.
	All of the Knights are obliged to treat their comrades and commanders with respect.

	El trabajo realizado por toda la Orden, debe ser para beneficio y mejoría de los Caballeros Templarios y no para el beneficio personal.
	The work performed by all of the Order must be for the benefit and betterment of the Knights Templar and not for personal benefit.
	33
	La conducta de un Caballero debe ser intachable, por eso se prohíbe el abusar de la inocencia de mujeres castas y menores de edad, utilizando el engaño o el poder para seducirlas.
	The conduct of a knight should be impeccable, and therefore the abuse of the innocence of chaste women and minors, using deception or power to seduce them, is forbidden. 
	34
	Para todos los miembros de la Orden queda estrictamente prohibido el uso de drogas, o cualquier enervante.
	For all members of the Order, the use of drugs or any mind-altering substance, remains strictly prohibited. 
	35
	Un Caballero Templario núnca da muestras de ser superiores a los demás.
	A Knight Templar never gives a sign of being superior to others.
	36
	Todo miembro de la Orden de los Caballeros Templarios de Michoacán, deben informar al Consejo de todos los asuntos de relevancia que ocurran con el personal.
	Every member of the Order of the Knights Templar of Michoacán must inform the Council of all relevant issues which occur with personnel.
	37
	Esta estrictamente prohibido a todos los miembros de la Orden realizar secuestros con la finalidad de obtener dinero.
	It is strictly prohibited for any member of the Order to carry out kidnappings for the purpose of financial gain.
	38
	Los jefes de la orden y su personal deben practicarse periódicamente la prueba de antidoping e informar al Consejo los resultados de dichos exámenes.
	The jefes [bosses] of the Order and their personnel must periodically carry out anti-doping tests, and inform the Council of the results of these examinations. 
	39
	Debe existir absoluta coordinación entre todos los miembros de la Orden, respetando el organigrama para desempeñar correctamente sus funciones.
	There must exist absolute coordination between all members of the Order, respecting the organisational structure in order to correctly perform their functions. 
	40
	Nadie podrá separarse de su puesto de trabajo, sin permiso de su superior; en caso de los jefes debe existir una buena comunicación con los demás de su elite, sus subalternos coordinaran adecuadamente las funciones de todo el personal.
	No one is able to depart from his place of work without permission from his superior; in the case of the jefes there must exist good communication with the rest of the elite; their subordinates will adequately coordinate the functions of all personnel.
	41
	Para hacer uso de la fuerza letal, se requiere autorización del Consejo.
	To use lethal force, the authorisation of the Council is required. 
	42
	A los caballeros Templarios de Michoacán jamás se les debe encontrar de ociosos o buscando aquello que no les interesa.
	A Knights Templar of Michoacán must never be found idle, or searching for something that does not interest [concern?] them. 
	43
	Los Caballeros Templarios que tengan un cargo de jefes, se comportarán de manera ejemplar, ser inteligentes, astutos, humildes, prudentes, eficaces, audaces y discretos; están obligados a cultivarse y aprender.
	The Templar Knights who bear a position of jefes will comport themselves in an exemplary manner, being intelligent, astute, humble, prudent, efficient, audacious, and discreet; they are obliged to develop themselves and learn. 
	44
	Todos los Caballeros que tengan necesidad de trasladarse fuera de su zona de trabajo, debe dar parte cuando ingresa a otro lugar de manera immediata, independientemente de la jerarquía que se tenga en la orden.
	All Knights who have need of moving outside of their zone of work must report immediately when they enter another place, regardless of the rank which he might hold in the Order. 
	45
	Al momento de trasladarse se deben tomar las medidas de seguridad adecuadas, mandar avanzadas y dirigirse con cautela durante todo el trayecto.
	At the moment of relocation, they must take the appropriate security measures, setting outposts and proceeding with caution throughout the journey. 
	46
	Por seguridad de todos los Caballeros deben estar alertas las 24 horas del día.
	For the security of all Knights, they must be alert 24 hours a day. 
	47
	Cuando un Caballero cometa un falta contra un miembro del consejo y viole el voto de silencio[footnoteRef:3] de los Caballeros Templarios del Estado de Michoacán, se les castigará con la pena capital. [3: “selencio” here is clearly a typographical error.] 
	When a Knight commits a fault against a member of the Council and violates the vow of silence of the Knights Templar of the State of Michoacán, he shall be punished with the death penalty.
	48
	Los Caballeros Templarios de Michoacán aplican la justicia, por ello, ningún elemento debe matar por gusto o matar por dinero, cuando se tome esta decisión debe investigarse bien previamente y si existen razones suficientes entonces si proceder.
	The Knights Templar of Michoacán employs justice, and for this reason no individual must kill for pleasure or for money; when this decision is taken, it must be well investigated beforehand, and at that time proceed if sufficient reasons exist.

	Un Caballero Templario de Michoacán, es un cruzado en todo momento, al hallarse entregado a una doble pelea: frente a las tentaciones de la carne y la sangre, a la vez que frente a las fuerzas espirituales del cielo.[footnoteRef:4] [4: Appears to be a paraphrasal of or allusion to Ephesians 6:12. 	A Knights Templar of Michoacánis a crusader in every moment, being committed to a double fight: facing the temptations of flesh and blood, at the same time as facing the spiritual forces of heaven.

	Un Caballero debe siempre ser consciente de que es un soldado del Temple y tratar siempre que sus obras sean un ejemplo para los demás.
	A Knight must always be conscious that he is a soldier of the Temple, and must strive always that his works might be an example for others. 
	51
	Todo Caballero debe avanzar sin temor, no descuidando lo que pueda suceder a su derecha o a su izquierda, con el pecho cubierto y el alma bien equipada con la Fé. Al contar con estas dos protecciones, no teme a hombres ni a demonio alguno.
	Every Knight must advance without fear, not neglecting that which might happen to his left and his right, with a covered chest and a soul well-equipped with the Faith. Relying on these two protections, he will not fear men nor any demon. 
	52
	Aquel Caballero que traicione a lo Templarios, será castigado con la pena máxima y además se le decomisarán sus propiedades, sus familiares correrán la misma suerte.
	That Knight who betrays the Templars will be castigated with the maximum penalty, and his property will also be confiscated; his family will suffer the same fate.
	53
	Donde hay debilidad allí el templario debe llevar su fuerza. Donde no hay voz allí el templario debe llevar la suya. Donde están los más pobres allí el Templario debe distribuir su generosidad.
	Where there is weakness, there the Templar must carry his strength. Where there is no voice, there the Templar must carry his. Where they are most poor, the Templar must distribute his generosity.
Juramento Templario
	Juro delante de todos, vivir y morir con honor.
	I swear, above all, to live and die with honour.
	Juro combatir la injusticia y socorrer a mi prójimo.
	I swear to fight injustice and come to the aid of my neighbour.
	Juro, igual en el combate como en la paz que ningún Caballero será considerado por mi como enemigo.
	I swear, that in peace time as well as war, that I will consider no Knight my enemy.
	Juro fidelidad al Temple y esforzarme por perpetuarlo.
	I swear loyalty to the Temple and I shall endeavour to perpetuate it. 
	Juro respeto a las damas, veneración a las madres, protección a los niños y a los ancianos, asistencia a los enfermos y a los necesitados.
	I swear to respect women, venerate mothers, protect children and the elderly, and to help the sick and the needy. 
	Juro respetar la fe de otros y buscar mas la verdad que la gloria, el honor que los honores.
	I swear to respect the faith of others, and search more for truth than glory, honour than honours.
