Final size of the rattle with the recommended materials and tools ~ 8 cm. 
 
Use any materials and tools you like, but the final size of your toy may differ.

Recommended materials and tools: 
Alize Bella 100 % cotton yarn (brown) #466 50g/180mYarnArt 
Alize Bella 100 % cotton yarn (white) #55 50g/180m 
Some Alize Bella 100 % cotton yarn (beige) #76 50g/180m 
1.75 mm crochet hook (US 4) 
6 cm / 2.36 in diameter wooden teething ring 
Fiberfill for stuffing 
Rattle insert (optional) 
Sewing needle and scissors 
Black embroidery floss to embroider eyes and nose 
 
Abbreviations: 
 st = stitch 
ch = chain stitch 
sc = single crochet 
sl st = slip stitch 
inc = increase (2 single crochets in one stitch) 
dec = invisible decrease (2 stitches together working on front loops only) 
(…) = repeat between () number of times indicated 
[…] = total number of stitches in the round or row 
Crochet in continuous rounds. Do not join or turn unless otherwise stated in the pattern. 
 Toy is crocheted in continuous spirals without joining the rounds, do not turn or slip stitch unless otherwise stated in the 
pattern! 
 You can use a scrap of contrasting yarn instead of the stitch marker! 
The yarn I used is number 1 
(Fingering) in Standard Yarn 
Weight System (Super Fine). 
(4 ply) cotton yarn.

Head and body (1 detail): 
Working in rounds. Using 1.75 mm crochet 
hook and Alize Bella (brown) #466. 
1. Sc 6 in magic ring [6]

Stuff the head completely with filler. The 
head should be well filled. 
Using a needle or crochet hook thread the 
yarn tail through the front loops and pull to 
tighten! Weave in the yarn tail inside the

Spot around the eye (make 2): 
Working in rounds. Using 1.75 mm crochet hook and Alize Bella (beige) #76. 
Start with foundation chain. 
1. ch 7 [7] 
2. Start in second chain from the hook: inc, sc 4, (inc) * 2 times, (turn the crocheting, on 
the othee side of foundation chain work) sc 4, inc [16] 
Fasten off and leave long thread for sewing.

Arms (make2): 
Front arm: 
Working in rounds. Using 1.75 mm crochet hook Alize Bella (brown) #466. 
1. sc 5 in magic ring [5] 
2. (inc) * 5 times [10] 
3-17. sc 10 [10] – 15 rounds 
Fold the arm in half and crochet 4 sc through two layers! 
Fasten off and leave long thread for sewing. 
 
Back arm: 
At the very beginning. Before making MAGIC RING, leave a thread about 20 cm long. 
With its help we will sew the arms to the wooden ring! 
1. sc 5 in magic ring [5] 
2. (inc) * 5 times [10] 
3-22. sc 10 [10] – 20 rounds 
Fold the arm in half and crochet 4 sc through two layers! 
Fasten off and leave long thread for sewing. 
Legs (make 2): 
Front leg: 
Working in rounds. Using 1.75 mm crochet hook Alize Bella (brown) #466. 
1. sc 6 in magic ring [6]

Fold the leg in half and crochet 5 sc through two layers!

Back leg: 
At the very beginning. Before making MAGIC RING, leave a thread about 20 cm long. With its help we will sew the arms to the 
wooden ring!

2. (inc) * 6 times [12] 
3-15. sc 12 [12] – 13 rounds 
Fold the leg in half and crochet 5 sc through two layers! 
Fasten off and leave long thread for sewing. 
 
 
 
 
 Assemble the toy: 
1. Sew the eye spots between round 4 
and 10 (counting white rounds), with 
the distance 5 st between them. See 
the pictures! Weave in the yarn ends.

embroider the nose between round 5 and 8 (counting white rounds).

3. Using 2 threads of the embroidery floss embroider the eyes as shown on the pictures! 
Embroider 3 diagonal stitches for the eye and one back stitch for the eyelash. Please,

4. Embroider the fur details on the top of the head with beige yarn. Please, refer to

5. Forelock!!! Attach the yarn Alize Bella 
(brown) #466 to the head. Insert the 
crochet hook under the stitch of the 2nd 
round. Crochet 7 ch and in the 2nd chain 
from the hook work 6 sl st. Make 1 sl st 
into the next stitch on the head. Repeat 3

6. Front arm attach to the body (slightly to the left from the muzzle) in place where 
brown rounds start. 
Sew it to the body. Weave in the yarn end. 
Back arm attach to the body, skip 20 st from the front arm.

7. Front leg attach to the body 2 rounds 
lower the front arm. Sew it to the body. 
Weave in the yarn end. 
Back leg attach to the body 2 rounds lower 
the back arm. Skip 20 st from the front leg. 
Make sure that legs will “HUG” the ring. 
Sew it to the body. Weave in the yarn end. 
 
 
 
 
 
 
8. Place the wooden ring between the 
arms and legs and sew them as shown on 
pictures with the help of threads we left 
at the beginning of crocheting back arms 
and legs. Sew the Arms and Legs tight 
with several stitches. Weave in the yarn 
ends.
