 Hello! Good afternoon! Hola buenas tardes. Comenzamos el trabajo colocando la 
fecha en inglés, el día que lo realizamos. 
 En este trabajo se presenta el verbo HAVE GOT/HAS GOT= TENER 
 
HAVE GOT (tener) 
 
● El verbo HAVE GOT se traduce o significa en español TENER y sirve para expresar 
posesión (qué se tiene o no). 
● La estructura o forma de tener es HAVE / HAS seguido de GOT 
 
FULL FORM SHORT FORM 
HAVE GOT ‘VE GOT 
HAS GOT ‘S GOT 
 
 
AFFIRMATIVE FORM 
 
La estructura de la oración afirmativa o positiva es: 
 
Sujeto + have/has got + OD ( posesión) 
 ¤ OD es Objeto Directo 
 
Ex: ▪ I have got a dog. o I’ve got a dog 
 (Yo tengo un perro) 
 
 ▪ She has got a cat. o She’s got a cat 
 (Ella tiene un gato) 
 
 
¿Cómo se conjuga este verbo para todas las personas o pronombres?

● Para la 3ra persona del singular ( he/she/it) cambia have por HAS seguido de GOT 
● Como se ve en el cuadro have got y has got son la forma larga (long) las cuales también 
pueden ser cortas (short) con la forma contraída: 
Ex: ▪ I have got a dog. 
 I've got a dog. 
 
 ▪ She has got a cat. 
 She's got a cat. 
 
El significado NO CAMBIA sea la forma larga (long) o corta (short) del verbo tener. 
 
 
NEGATIVE FORM 
 
La oración o forma negativa se forma combinando HAVE / HAS con la partícula negativa NOT 
seguida de GOT y resulta: 
 
HAVE NOT GOT ⇒ HAVEN'T GOT 
 
HAS NOT GOT ⇒ HASN'T GOT 
 
Ex: ▪ I haven't got a car. 
 (Yo no tengo un auto) 
 
 ▪ She hasn't got a bike. 
 (Ella no tiene una bici)

INTERROGATIVE FORM 
 
DIRECT QUESTION 
 
 
Para hacer la pregunta directa debe invertir HAVE/HAS delante del sujeto, es decir se escribe o 
se dice primero: 
 
HAVE/HAS + Sujeto + GOT + OD(posesión)? 
 
 Ex: ▪ Have you got a brother? 
 (¿Vos tenés un hermano?) 
 
 ▪ Has she got a sister? 
 (¿Tiene ella una hermana?) 
 
 
● La respuesta de la pregunta DIRECTA es una respuesta CORTA (short answer), es decir 
SI o NO que en Inglés equivale a tres palabras:

¤ NUNCA usar formas cortas o contraídas en respuestas afirmativas:

¤ NUNCA usar formas largas en respuestas negativas: 
 
 ✖ no, I have not ✖ no, he has not 
 ✔ no, I haven't ✔ no, he hasn't
