INTRODUCTION
Being in a negotiation between two different countries could be a nightmare if we don’t know enough about the traditions, religion or culture in general of the country that we’re trying to be with. Even how we communicate with our bodies, plays an important role. That's the reason why we prepare this booklet, to help the viewer understand how to deal with different cultural barriers you may have to deal in the United States. Being prepped is the key to success.

Mexico is a nation of natural splendour and urban blight. It’s the second-largest economy in Latin America and prosperity remains a dream.
Main differences between cultures:
The political culture of America contrasts with Mexico on account of America having a two-party system and Mexico having a multi-party system with three major political parties.
Mexico’s major language is Spanish, a Romance language and the major language of America is English, a Germanic language.
Mexican culture is a combination of Spanish culture and that of the indigenous people of Mexico, whereas American culture combines many more cultures due to significant immigration from every major continent.
There is greater religious diversity in America leading to secularism being dominant in America. Roman Catholicism is dominant in Mexico, resulting in the Catholic Church possessing considerable influence in Mexico.
The cuisine of Mexico is based on the food customs and preferences of the Spanish and Indigenous people of Mexico, while American cuisine has elements of the many different food traditions which have found their way to America via immigrants over the last centuries.
The USA is the world's foremost economic and military power, with global interests and an unmatched global reach.
Power distance:
At a score of 81, Mexico is a hierarchical society. This means that people accept a hierarchical order in which everybody has a place and which needs no further justification.
On the other hand, having just the half (40), United States is a country where your place depends on the situation.
Individualism:
United States is one of the most individualistic country in the world (with 91). The culture of independence between its people is the main factor.
Mexico, and because of its personal relations, has a low score (30) showing a collective culture.

Analysis
Long term orientation:
The relatively low score of 24 and 22 means that the Mexican and American cultures are normative. People in such societies have a strong concern with establishing the absolute Truth; they are normative in their thinking. They exhibit great respect for traditions, a relatively small propensity to save for the future, and a focus on achieving quick results.
Indulgence:
Mexico is the perfect example of how easy and normal it is to show feelings and emotions. The other part, United States is still capable of doing it as well, only not that exposed.
Masculinity:
Both Mexico and United States’ society will be driven by competition, achievement and success, with success being defined by the “winner” or “best-in-the-field”.
Uncertainty Avoidance:
Mexico has a very high preference for avoiding uncertainty and maintains rigid codes of belief and behaviour and are intolerant of unorthodox behaviour and ideas. The opposite happens with United States.
MEXICO
Mexicans seek long-term relationships, have a win-win attitude, established etiquette must be followed for them, in a negotiation they may seem indirect and avoid saying "no". The business atmosphere is easy going. Truth is based on feelings and emotional arguments are more effective than logic. Authority is vested in a few at the top and prefer consensus. Also they avoid risk.
MEXICO
Mexicans are particularisms because they believe in human relations before rules. We usually work as a team and we are very emotional. We are diffuse cause we tend to not separate status and roles. WE believe that environment controls us.

UNITED STATES
Americans establish rapport quickly; then move to negotiating. Look for mutual gains, whenever possible. They don't like formality or rituals in business interaction. They are direct and to the point. They expect quick decisions and solutions. Subjective feelings are not considered facts. Individuals with relevant knowledge and skills make decisions.
UNITED STATES
Americans are more universalists, they believe in the rules they stablished. They are very individualists and work alone. They’re kind of neutral about their feelings, and they separate roles in profession and life. They feel like a factor to control the environment.
Strategies and tips for the Mexican-American Negotiation.
Even when these two countries live near, talking about region, it’s not a fact that helps about the similarity about their cultures.
Mexicans are usually underestimated about their professionalism, because of informality, lack of time-caring, and because of not being “objective” when taking a decision.
It is important to keep in mind the importance of discipline for a culture such Americans. If a Mexican keep that tips in mind, it wouldn’t be a problem the relationship nurturing.
