The first sheet (P) is formed by the words RED, GREEN and BLUE arranged randomly and printed in black ink on an A4 sheet. The same word is not allowed to appear twice in the same column. The second sheet (C) consists of 100 stimuli, arranged in the same way, made up of crosses (XXXX) (that is, without possible reading) printed in blue, green or red ink. The same color does not appear twice in the same column. The colors do not follow the same order as the words on the first sheet. The third sheet (PC) contains the words from the first sheet printed in the colors of the second sheet, mixed item by item; the first item is the color of item 1 from the first sheet printed in the ink color of item 1 from the second sheet. The ink color does not match the meaning of the word in any case. The subject must name the ink color. The subject has 45” on each sheet to perform the proposed task. h) Materials: Set of three sheets. Stopwatch. Application and scoring manual. i) General significance: The PC sheet is a good instrument for the evaluation of Executive Functions (inhibition of automatic responses, cognitive flexibility, attentional control, interference measurement). The P and C sheets allow evaluating the speed of naming (C) and reading (P) frequently used words (semantic reading route). j) Correction and scoring: Number of stimuli correctly processed for each sheet separately, within the stipulated time. Errors are not computed, but when requesting the immediate correction of the same, they are penalized by slowing down the execution. k) Barams: by age. With age-corrected barams in children (7 to 16 years old), adults (45 to 64 years old), and older adults (from 65 years old). l) General considerations: If the subject has uncorrected visual alterations, the results should be interpreted with caution. If the subject is illiterate, do not administer the first sheet or calculate the interference measure. In this latter case, the C and PC sheets can be administered and analyzed quantitatively and qualitatively.
