Identify the correct statements about the action of general reagents:
I- Sodium or potassium hydroxide: do not react with Na+, K+, Ca2+, Ba2+; precipitate as hydroxides: insoluble in excess of reagent: Mg2+, Mn2+, Fe (III), Bi (III), Co2+, Ni2+, Cd2+, Fe2+; soluble in excess of reagent (amphoteric): Al (III), Cr (III), Zn (II), Pb2+; precipitate as metal oxides: Hg2+, Hg22+, Ag+; ammonia: releases gas (NH3).
II- Ammonia: do not react with Na+, K+, Ca2+, Ba2+, NH4+; precipitate as hydroxides: insoluble in excess of reagent: Al (III), Fe (III), Bi (III), Pb2+, Cr3+, Mg2+, Mn2+, Fe2+; soluble in excess of reagent by formation of the ammonia complex: Zn2+, Cd2+, Ni2+, Co2+, Cu2+; formation of the ammonia complex: Ag+.
III- Carbonate: do not react with Na+, K+; precipitate as neutral carbonates: Ca2+, Ba2+, Ag+, Ni2+, Mn2+; precipitate as basic carbonates of variable composition: Zn (II), Bi (III), Cd2+, Co2+, Mg2+, Cu2+, Hg2+, Pb2+; precipitate as hydroxides releasing carbon dioxide: Al (III), Fe (III), Cr (III); ammonia: if this cation is in excess with respect to the carbonate, there is release of CO2 and formation of NH3.
IV- Cyanide: do not react with Na+, K+, Ca2+, Ba2+; precipitate as hydroxides, insoluble in excess of reagent and release hydrocyanic acid: Al (III), Fe (III), Cr (III), Bi (III); precipitate as a mixture of two compounds, soluble in excess of reagent with high temperature: Fe3+, initially a brown precipitate is obtained which is a mixture of ferric hydroxide and ferric cyanide, which dissolves by formation of ferricyanide when excess of reagent is added and heated to boiling; precipitate as metal cyanides: soluble in excess of reagent: Zn (II), Co2+, Cd2+, Ag+, Ni2+, Cu2+, Hg2+, Mn2+; soluble in excess of reagent with persistent boiling: Fe2+; insoluble in excess: Pb2+; with subsequent transformation: Cu2+.
V- Ammonium: releases NH3 and CN- ion.

a) I, II, and III are correct.
b) II, III, and IV are correct.
c) III, IV, and V are correct.
