What is the correct sequence of steps for artificial respiration?
Put the animal in a lateral decubitus position. Clean the airways of debris and pull the tongue forward.
Close the patient's mouth. Place one hand around the muzzle, put your mouth on the patient's nose, and blow until you see the chest expand.
Remove your mouth from the animal and let the lungs deflate.
Repeat this procedure ten to twenty times per minute.
Check the pulse every ten seconds to ensure that the heart is still beating.
If the heart is not beating, perform cardiac massage along with artificial respiration.
