What is the recommended treatment for anterior uveitis?

The treatment is based mainly on reducing intraocular inflammation and avoiding sequelae that may affect the patient's visual acuity.
Topical anti-inflammatory drugs such as corticosteroids and NSAIDs are the first-line treatment.
Midriatics such as tropicamide are used to prevent posterior synechiae.
In some cases, systemic anti-inflammatory drugs may be necessary.
Antibiotics are not necessary in cases of uveitis unless they are associated with other processes that require them.
