De repente, todo el bosque en donde estaba Mathias comenzó a temblar,

Todo oscureció, y cuando Mathias abrió los ojos estaba de nuevo en el

siempre. Solo utilizaba la computadora y la consola una hora al día.

real world, lying in his bed. The console and the computer were turned off

8. Perdidos En El Bosque
 
Era el año 2009 cuando un grupo de amigos decidieron organizar un paseo
vacacional al bosque que estaba en las afueras de la ciudad, allí
caminarían, llegarían a ríos y cascadas, entrarían a cuevas, escalarían
unas montañas y acamparían. La idea nació de un programa de TV que
veían todos, donde un hombre, junto a su familia se dedicaba a pasear y a
enfrentarse a la naturaleza en varias ocasiones y lugares, en selvas,
bosques, desiertos, montañas heladas y otros ecosistemas. 
It was the year 2009 when a group of friends decided to organize a holiday
trip to the forest that was on the outskirts of the city, there they would walk,
reach rivers and waterfalls, enter caves, climb mountains and camp. The
idea was born from a TV program that everyone saw, where a man, along
with his family, was dedicated to walking and confronting nature on several
occasions and places, in jungles, forests, deserts, icy mountains and other
ecosystems.
El grupo era de ocho amigos, Fred, Michael, Hugh, Brad, Lindsey,
Carolina, Daniela y Esther. Fred era el más joven de todos, pero era el más
valiente y temerario, fue el que tuvo la idea de hacer el viaje; Michael era
el mayor de todos, era amante de la naturaleza y deseaba conocerla y
vivirla; Hugh era un poco mayor que Fred, pero era todo lo contrario, era
miedoso y cobarde, todo lo asustaba y todo le daba miedo; Brad era mayor
que Hugh y era el hippie del grupo. En cuanto a las mujeres, Carolina era
la más joven, era la pareja de Fred y le encantaban las ideas aventureras y
arriesgadas de su novio;  Daniela era muy parecida a Hugh, le aterraba
salir de su zona de confort, era siempre muy negativa en cuanto a todo lo
nuevo; Esther era amante de los deportes extremos, ella estaba planeando
todas las actividades que iban a realizar en su paseo, había dicho para
hacer rappel y otras cosas pero los demás no se atrevieron y por último;
Lindsey, era hija de una pareja muy adinerada por lo que siempre había
vivido con todos los lujos, razón por la que quería ir en el viaje con ellos a
tener una nueva y diferente experiencia.
The group was eight friends, Fred, Michael, Hugh, Brad, Lindsey, Carolina,
Daniela and Esther. Fred was the youngest of all but he was the bravest and
reckless, he was the one who had the idea of making the trip; Michael was
the oldest of all, was a lover of nature and wanted to know and live it; Hugh
was a little older than Fred, but he was quite the opposite, he was fearful
and cowardly, everything scared him and everything scared him; Brad was
older than Hugh and was the group's hippie. As for women, Carolina was
the youngest, she was Fred's partner and she loved the adventurous and
risky ideas of her boyfriend; Daniela was very similar to Hugh, she was

and different experience.
En el año 2009 cuando comenzaron a planificar el viaje, Fred y Carolina
tenían aun 16 años, por lo que, para viajar sin adultos tendrían que esperar
dos años más y cumplir los 18 años. Eso hicieron entonces, todo el grupo
ahorró y planificó cada momento del viaje durante los dos años que debían
esperar para que Fred y Carolina fueran mayores de edad. Fueron
comprando los alimentos no perecederos y las cosas indispensables como
las carpas, los bolsos, las linternas, las cuerdas, los abrigos y esos
utensilios.
In 2009 when they started planning the trip, Fred and Carolina were still 16
years old, so, to travel without adults they would have to wait two more
years and turn 18. That they did then, the whole group saved and planned
every moment of the trip during the two years they had to wait for Fred and
Carolina to be of legal age. They were buying non-perishable food and
essential items such as tents, bags, flashlights, ropes, coats and those
utensils.
Llegó entonces el año 2011, Carolina cumplió años antes que Fred,
entonces se prepararon todos para salir a acampar un día después del
cumpleaños de Fred. Llegado el día del cumpleaños de Fred, decidieron no
hacer fiesta para tener energías para el viaje al día siguiente. Estaban
todos en sus casas, se acostaron a dormir temprano para que llegara el
gran día. Fred en su casa celebro su cumpleaños con sus padres y se fue a
dormir también temprano. Al día siguiente, Michael se despertó a las 5:00
a.m. pues él era el que iba a manejar el carro de su padre y llevaría a todos
al bosque, le reviso el aire a los cauchos, chequeó el refrigerante, el aceite,
la gasolina, guardó sus cosas, revisó el caucho de repuesto y salió entonces
a buscar a cada uno de sus amigos.
Then came the year 2011, Carolina turned years before Fred, then everyone
prepared to go camping one day after Fred's birthday. When Fred's birthday
arrived, they decided not to party to have energy for the trip the next day.
They were all in their homes, they went to bed early for the big day to
come. Fred at home celebrated his birthday with his parents and went to
sleep too early. The next day, Michael woke up at 5:00 a.m. because he was
the one who was going to drive his father's car and take everyone to the
forest, he checked the air to the rubbers, checked the refrigerant, the oil, the
gasoline, put away his things, checked the spare rubber and then left to look
for each of his friends.
Hugh y Brad eran vecinos, por lo que los recogió a ambos al mismo tiempo.
Eran las 6:00 a.m. cuando los recogió, seguían medio dormidos todos así
que se saludaron con las manos y nadie dijo nada más. Luego recogió a
Carolina, que vivía cerca, ella estaba súper energética pues había tomado
varias tazas de café antes de salir.
Hugh and Brad were neighbors, so he picked them both at the same time. It
was 6:00 a.m. when he picked them up, they were still half asleep, so they
waved and no one said anything else. Then he picked up Carolina, who
lived nearby, she was super energetic because she had had several cups of
coffee before leaving.
-Carolina: Hola muchachos, ¿Cómo están? ¿No están emocionados? Yo
