What are the basic processes of a 4-stroke internal combustion engine?

I - The first time is compression/aspiration, where the piston moves from the bottom dead center to the top dead center, and the precompressed mixture is compressed above the piston. The compressed mixture ignites just before reaching the top dead center.
II - The second time is work/pre-compression, where the piston moves from the top dead center to the bottom dead center. The pressure generated pushes the piston down and opens first the exhaust valve and then the transfer port. The precompressed mixture below the piston displaces the accumulated exhaust gases to the outside and fills the cylinder. The transfer port is closed by the upward movement of the piston. Due to the depression that forms, the intake valve opens: the fuel-air mixture is aspirated. The aspirated mixture is precompressed by the downward movement of the piston and pressed against the transfer port. The overpressure closes the intake valve.
III - The third time is work - combustion and expansion.
IV - The fourth time is escape.
V - The internal combustion engines are thermomechanical fluid machines in which, by burning a mixture of fuel and air, mechanical energy is generated. All work processes take place in a working area, in the working cylinder. As the force/energy inside the cylinder is transmitted through a variable volume, internal combustion engines belong to the positive displacement engines.
VI - The engines usually serve to drive vehicles, boats or locomotives. Internal combustion engines are also used for drives that must work reliably at all times regardless of the power grid, such as emergency power supply systems, construction machinery or agriculture.
