What are the criteria for diagnosing familial hypercholesterolemia?
A family history of first-degree relatives with premature cardiovascular disease and/or C-LDL > 201 mg/dl, or first-degree relatives with xanthomas and/or corneal arcus, or a child under 18 years of age with C-LDL > 150 mg/dl. Personal history of premature coronary artery disease or peripheral or cerebral vascular disease. Presence of xanthomas, xanthelasmas, or corneal arcus before the age of 45. C-LDL > 330 mg/dl. C-LDL 250-329 mg/dl. C-LDL 190-249 mg/dl. C-LDL 155-189 mg/dl.
