INPV411 e-class File 8C Objetivos: en esta unidad aprenderás a describir lugares en pasado y a usar preposiciones de lugar y movimiento. En relación a la descripción de lugares, tenemos la misma división singular y plural que aprendimos en la unidad anterior (8B). 1-Singular: en inglés, cuando quieres decir “había”, usamos la expresión “there was”. There was a TV in the bedroom. (Había un televisor en el dormitorio.) There wasn`t a window in front of the door. (No había una ventana frente a la puerta.) La forma interrogativa es: Was there a lamp on the table? (¿Había una lámpara sobre la mesa?) Yes, there was No, there wasn`t. 2.- Plural: cuando queremos decir “había“ y nos referimos a varias cosas, usamos la expresión “there were” There were some pictures between the window and the door. (Habían algunos cuadros entre la ventana y la puerta.) There weren`t any plants behind the house. (No habían ningunas plantas atrás de la casa.) La forma interrogativa es: Were there any chairs in the dining room? (¿Había sillas en el comedor?) Yes, there were. No, there weren`t.
