What is the methodology for preparing homemade potato-carrot agar? Cook the chopped potato and carrot in 350 mL of drinking water for 20 minutes. Sterilize the glass jars, fork or spoon, and strainer by boiling them in water for 5-10 minutes. Sterilize the work area with 10% hypochlorite. Blend the cooked potato and carrot and filter the juice using the previously sterilized strainer. Prepare the unflavored gelatin in 50 ml of hot water. Add the previously dissolved unflavored gelatin to the filtered juice and mix, avoiding the formation of bubbles. Add the mixture to each of the glass jars or plastic cups, adding approximately half up to a height of 2 cm, avoiding the formation of bubbles.
