Ing. Ovocito Células de la granulosa Zona pelúcida Pro-núcleos Espermatozoide Fecundación y Desarrollo Embrionario Developmental Stage of Embryos Development and distribution of bovine embryos Zona pellucida Expanded blastocyst Hatched blastocyst Morula Early blastocyst Perivitelline space Blastocoelic cavity (Blastocyst cavity) Inner cell mass (embryoblast) Trophoblast Model of cattle embryo Morula:M Cleavage cell ※ The cellular mass of embryo occupies most of the perivitelline space [Day 5-6] Zona pellucida Perivitelline space 〔Ball of cell〕 Compact Morula:CM [Day 6-7] ※ The cellular mass of embryo occupies 60~70% of the perivitelline space Cleavage cell (Cell mass) Zona pellucida Perivitelline space 〔Larger than the morula stage〕 Early Blastocyst:EB [Day 7-8] Inner cell mass ※ The darker part forming the inner cell mass and the bright part forming the trophblast cell layer are recognized. Perivitelline space Zona pellucida Trophblast cell Blastocyst cavity Blastocyst:BL [Day 7-8] Zona pellucida Blastocyst cavity Inner cell mass Trophblast cell ※ The inner cell mass and the trophblast cell separated. The blastocyst cavity expands to occupy most of the perivitelline space. Expanded Blastocyst:ExpBL [Day 8-9] ※ Overall diameter of embryo dramatically increases and the thickness of the zona pellucida. Zona pellucida Blastocyst cavity Inner cell mass Trophblast cell Hatched Blastocyst:HedBL [Day 9-11] ※ Embryo recoverd at this development stage have completely shed the zona pellucida. Inner cell mass Trophblast cell Blastocyst cavity Day 5 Day 6 Day 7 Day 8 Day 9 * Counting the estrous and insemination days as 0 Normal developmental stage of a cattle fertilized ovum Age (days) CM ⇔ EB Blastocyst cavity ? EB ⇔ BL Diameter of embryo ? Perivitellin space ? BL ⇔ ExpBL Diameter of embryo ? Thickness of zona pellucida ? ExpBL ⇔ HedBL Zona pellucida ? Evaluation of Embryos Embryos quality is decided from the morphology (microscope under ×200) ・Development stage ・Shape of embryo ・Density of cytoplasm (Color) ・Degenerated area Forma esferoide. Simetría de los blastómeros. Apariencia clara de los blastómeros. Tonalidad uniforme. Excellent:Grade 1 ・Spherical cell mass ・Symmetrical with cells of uniform size ・Ideal color and texture for ET or Freezing Ideal Embryo Good:Grade 1 for ET or Freezing Normal Embryo ・The morphology of Good embryo applies in the same way to Excellent embryo ・Degenerated cells (10% and under irregularities) Fair:Grade 2 for ET or Freezing (after culture) Few problems ・Extruded blastmeres ・Vesiculation ・Degenerated cells (10~30% irregularities) Poor:Grade 3 for ET or Freezing after culture Severe problems ・Numerous extruded blastomeres ・Cell of varying size ・Lager numerous vesicles ・Degenerated cells (30~50% irregularities) Not Using:Grade 4 ・Non Fertilized:NF ・Too Young:TY ・Degenerated:Deg NF TY Deg for ET or Freezing Quality of embryo and using case A Grade 1 ET or Freezing A' Grade 1 〃 B Grade 2 〃 C Grade 3 ET and Freezing or not using after culture D Grade 4 not using CLASIFICACIÓN EMBRIONARIA: ESTADO DE DESARROLLO 1 : No fecundado 2 : 2 a 12 células 3 : Mórula temprana 4 : Mórula 5 : Blastocisto temprano 6 : Blastocisto 7 : Blastocisto expandido 8 : Blastocisto eclosionado 9 : Blastocisto eclosionado expandido Estadio : 4 y 5 Calidad : 1 Estadios : 6 y 7 Calidad : 1 Fin de la presentación Muchas gracias por la atención
